Meng Zhou awarded large NSF EPSCoR II grant

Congratulations to Dr. Meng Zhou who was recently awarded a National Science Foundation Grant.

The project is a collaborative NSF EPSCoR II proposal titled: “Tri-state Research Institute of Manufacturing for Managing CO 2 (Trimming CO 2).” 

Dr. Meng Zhou is the NMSU Principal Investigator with Co-PI Dr. Hongmei Luo. Both will lead Thrust Area 1: "Concentrating CO 2 while Producing Electricity"

Dr. Delia Valles-Rosales of the NMSU Industrial Engineering Department serves as Co-PI of the proposal, and will lead outreach and student educational activities.

The budget amount  $1.3M is awarded to NMSU with $1.18M  to efforts within the Chemical & Materials Engineering Dept. The funding will be used to upgrade equipment, recruit postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students.
