CHME shows enrollment gains in 2020 despite a continued free fall across the institution. NMSU main campus enrollment dropped again in 2020 to 13,280, now down a total of over 28% from a peak of 18,542 occurring in 2010. CHME has seen a cumulative 11% increase in enrollment over the same period.
In Fall 2020, CHME saw a 3% enrollment increase as compared to Fall 2019. Undergraduate enrollment increased from 177 to 182, with females leading males by the count of 94 to 88, or 52% of the undergraduate population.
Graduate student enrollment dropped from 39 to 36 (8%), proportional to the drop in CHME faculty (10%).
