Alma Carolina Escobosa, a graduate student in CHME has been selected to receive the CONACYT (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) scholarship awarded by the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology. She will receive a 45-month scholarship effective from September 01, 2019 to May 31, 2023. The scholarship will pay her living expenses, medical insurance and a major chunk of the tuition.
Carolina is currently working in my group on developing non-catalytic denitrogenation methods for improving algal bio-crude oil properties.
