NMSU Course Equivalents

Do you have completed math and chemistry courses from dual enrollment or from another institution than NMSU? Are you worried that you might take the wrong math and chemistry courses to apply towards the NMSU chemical engineering curriculum? Did you send your transcript to NMSU and get a very cryptic transfer evaluation in return? For example, did you complete MATH 1510, Calculus I, and MATH 1520, Calculus II, at Eastern New Mexico and the transfer evaluation came back as MATH 100E and CCDMAREA2. No, you don’t have to retake Calculus I and Calculus II. We (unfortunately) have some paperwork to do here at NMSU, but we will get your courses to count as the proper equivalent. As soon as you arrive at NMSU, bring the transcript from the school where you took the courses to the Chemical and Materials Engineering department head. Don’t worry anymore, take a look at the course equivalencies below.
