CHME Dual Enrollment Credit
Similar to math, chemistry, physics, and English courses, students can also complete the first-year chemical engineering courses while in high school. Taking these courses will introduce you to chemical engineering concepts and provide information on chemical engineering careers. You can complete CHME 101, Introduction to CHME Calculations, and CHME 102, Material Balances. If you are already taking calculus courses (MATH 1511 and MATH 1521 from NMSU) or elsewhere and general chemistry courses (CHEM 1215 and CHEM 1225) from NMSU or elsewhere, taking CHME 101 and CHME 102 might also allow you to reduce the standard 4-year CHME curriculum down to a 3-year curriculum.
