Emergency Management and Response Specialist 4
Participates in the design, development, and maintenance of the Laboratory’s emergency planning and preparedness program. Provides outreach assistance to federal, state, local and tribal organizations with emergency planning and preparedness activities. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, procedure writing that reflects compliance with Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) planning and preparedness requirements; program planning and implementation; project design and scheduling; performing hazard surveys and/or assessments; providing consultant/subject matter expert services; documenting, tracking and closing corrective actions; developing and delivering training; readiness assurance including conduct and continuity of operations and security/emergency interface; planning and conducting drills and exercises; designing, developing and maintaining emergency response facilities and equipment.
