Proxy Cards

Access to facilities in CHME is controlled by the use of proxy cards, which will open electronic locks located on many of the secure facilities, including computer labs, research labs, teaching labs, building wings, etc.

All CHME graduate students may obtain a proxy card to access the graduate student computer cluster.  These cards may be further approved to open resources specific to each student’s needs upon approval from the supervising professor and department head.

Undergraduate students may obtain a proxy card to procure access to needed resources when performing undergraduate research or providing ongoing service to the department.  It must also be approved by supervisor and department head.

There is a $10 deposit due to CHME administrative assistant at the time a proxy card is issued.  Half of that deposit is reimbursed when the card (in good condition) is returned to the CHME administrative assistant.
