INVITATION TO GRADUATE STUDENTS:
Graduate Students, involved in environmental research concerning issues in the oil and gas industry, are encouraged to submit an abstract to present at the upcoming International Petroleum Environmental Conference (IPEC), Oct. 30 – Nov 1 in Denver, Colorado, sponsored by The University of Tulsa, Continuing Education for Science & Engineering.
This is the 25th year the IPEC Conference has brought together professionals involved in developing and implementing technology to address and resolve petroleum environmental problems, plus share best practices and information regarding advances in emerging technology in all aspects of the petroleum industry. As you know, being able to network and make contacts with a diverse crowd of industry professionals is a great investment and opportunity for your students. Plus, they gain valuable experience in delivering a public presentation showcasing their research in front of a supportive audience.

Graduate students who would like to give an oral presentation at the conference must submit an abstract online (max 200 words) which will be reviewed by the conference committee. Please note the following:
Abstract Submission Deadline: September 28th
Note: Presentation abstracts are accepted on a first-come/first-served basis. Early submission of abstracts is highly recommended.

There will not be a Poster Session this year.
The IPEC 2018 CONFERENCE STUDENT FEE is just $250.00 per person (this applies to those presenting as well as those just attending the conference). Students are allowed to attend the entire conference, given full access to all technical sessions, exhibitors, plenary session, networking events, luncheons and other functions of the conference at a greatly reduced rate.

The 20178 IPEC conference is being held at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel, 1750 Welton Street, Denver, Colorado. If needed, hotel room rates are $199/night and reservations must be made by September 14, 2018.
The IPEC Conference Committee values the input and new ideas of those up and coming petroleum environmental professionals. We do hope your graduate students will be able to take advantage of this terrific opportunity to present and/or network with industry professionals.
