Dr. Ling Fei (Ph D 2014) hired into Tenure-Track Chemical Engineering faculty position at Louisiana-Lafayette

Ling Fei (Ph D 2014) wil join the Department of Chemical Engineering at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Spring 2018!

Dr. Fei came to NMSU in Fall 2010 as a graduate student in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. She received her MS degree in May 2012 and Ph.D. degree in May 2014 under the direction of Dr. Hongmei Luo.

During her graduate studies at NMSU, she was authored and co-authored 17 SCI publications with 8 as the first-author. She also delivered 9 oral presentations in AIChE, ECS, and MRS conferences. Her publications have got 571 citations up to date. Ling was a recipient of the Preparing Future Faculty Award from graduate school in 2013-2014. 

In an email alerting the CHME faculty to her new position, Dr. Fei stated, “I am very glad to share with you that I have received the official offer letter from University of Louisiana. I want to thank you, Dr. Luo, and the whole department for all the opportunities and support in the past years. The education and training I received in NMSU laid a solid foundation for my career. I am very proud to be an Aggie.”

Ling Fei has most recently been working as a post-doctoral research at Cornell University through 2016, and as a Senior Scientist with Axiom Nano, both in Ithaca, NY.
