CHME team wins 2018 Arrowhead LAUNCH Competition

“Arrowhead’s LAUNCH Competition wrapped up this week. On Wednesday, the four month accelerator came to a close, with final presentations from each of the 5 teams participating in this year’s competition. Each team spent the last 4 months exploring market opportunities for technology invented by NMSU faculty, while refining and perfecting their business pitch for the final competition. On Thursday the winning team was announced at the LAUNCH Reception. This years’ winner was Prosthetic Sleeve Liner with Dr. Neda Sanatkaran (Postdoc, Chemical and Materials Engineering), Dr. Reza Foudazi (Assistant Professor, Chemical and Materials Engineering), Ryan Zowada (CHME Ph D Student), and Robyn Marks (Student, BCOM), who received $20,000 investment to continue development on their business. Many from campus and community were in attendance at the reception, including City Councilor Greg Smith and Senate Pro Tempore Mary Kay Papen.”
