Hi Dr. Rockstraw,
I hope your semester is off to a good start. We are desperately seeking a skilled Chemistry tutor. Our greatest need is General Chemistry I & II, but, if possible, we would love to find a student solid in higher level chemistry as well. We’re sending an email to various listsevs, but I wanted to be sure to capture any referrals from faculty as well.
Below is our Aggie Career Manager job posting. Interested students can also contact Monica Cobos, our Program Coordinator, directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you, in advance, for your assistance!
The STEM-H Student Support Services program is seeking a tutor skilled in Chemistry for the Spring semester. The STEM-H program provides support services to students majoring in science, technology, engineering, math, and health disciplines, many of whom are first generation college students and/or come from low income households.
Peer Tutors will provide tutoring for academic assignments, assist in development of study skills, assist with computer navigation and online tutorials, offer motivation and encouragement, help with exam preparation, and maintain careful records of tutoring sessions.
Tutors should be juniors or seniors and can expect to work about 20 hrs per week. Please apply in Aggie Career Manager (Position number 54758).
Our staff of mentors and tutors are what makes our program great! We hope you’ll join us!
