Phani Raj Dandamudi defended his thesis entitled, “Rapid analysis of microalgal triacylglycerols using direct-infusion mass spectrometry and hydrothermal liquefaction of micro algae” The research of Mr. Dandamudi was supervised by Dr. Shuguang Deng.
Tapaswy Muppaneni defended his dissertation entitled, “Hydrothermal liquefaction of algae for the production of biofuels.” The research of Dr. Muppaneni was supervised by Dr. Shuguang Deng and defended in front of a committee consisting of Dr. Ghassemi, Dr. Andersen, and Dr. Khandan (dean’s representative).

The CHME undergraduate computer lab (JH 169) will be outfitted with new Dell 9020 computers this summer. CoEngr IT specialist Philip Braker has already completed a purchase order for these computers, with delivery expected in July. Some of the older computers in JH 183 will be replaced with those being removed from JH 169.
